Research Interest
During my PhD-thesis I’m investigating 1) the short-term change in airway patency following intermittent and continuous hyperpnea in healthy and mild asthmatics; 2) the functional effect of short-term respiratory warm-ups on the severity/attenuation of bronchial hyperresponsiveness induced by strenuous whole-body exercise in dry conditions and on endurance capacity; and 3) the effects of long-term respiratory exercises on parameters of physical fitness, pulmonary function, airway hyperreactivity and airway inflammation in mild asthmatics.
Sports Interest
Former competitive soccer player, running (from time to time participating in competitions), hiking, skiing, MTB and tennis/squash on a recreational level
